The newly designed 0-Aero Aerodynamic disc took 8 months to develop. Featuring an all-new friction surface CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) aerodynamic exterior design.
The center bracket is made of T800 carbon fibre in manufactured through one-piece hot-press molding. To achieve lighter weight and higher strength. Reinforcing ribs has been added to the structure of the center bracket. It has an Instantaneous Rotation Torque of 100Nm* (simulated by software). And it strength has undergone multiple computers aided finite simulation calculations. In the actual production process, the braking surface adopts SUS 420 Stainless Steel wire cutting technology. Compare with laser cutting, this technology does not generate high temperatures. Thus, preventing easy deformation. Additionally, a heat treatment process is incorporated to enhance hardness. Furthermore, it has passed rigorous bench test. Demonstrating the ability to withstand instantaneous rotational torque of 130Nm. And a heat distortion of 500 deg C. The combination of leveler and manual calibration ensures superior runout control.
The manufacturing process was finally confirmed through road test by multiple professional road riders and adjustment feedback by more than 10 professional technicians. Ensuring the disc is not prone to rubbing against the caliper and is easier to adjust.
*This is equivalent to kinetic energy born by disc when an 100kg object comes to a stop at 60km/h within 5 seconds.
